Pasuruan Regency

Pasuruan Regency
Pasuruan Regency is a regency in East Java province, Indonesia. The capital is Pasuruan. The county is bordered by the district of Sidoarjo and the Java Sea in the north, west Probolinggo, Malang regency in the south, southwest of Stone Town, and Mojokerto district in the west. The county is known as an industrial and tourist areas, including Mount Bromo.

Demography
Pasuruan regency has a diversity of population is mostly Javanese, it can also be found in addition to other tribes as well as the Madurese community Tionghoa-Indonesian, Arabic and Indian. In Pasuruan also still found a tribe with a distinctive social culture, that people who live in the Tengger Mountains region of Tengger Tosari District. Social and religious systems of Tengger was a very unique and peculiar to the various activities such as celebration of Hari Raya Hari Raya Kasada and Karo in which contains a lot of religious values and history.

Subdivisions
Pasuruan regency consists of 24 districts, divided again over 341 villages and 24 urban villages.

Government
Pasuruan regency led by the regent H. Dade Anga, SIP. and vice-regent Eddy Assembly (2008-2013, appointed July 9). Couples who filed the PDI-P and 10 nonparlemen parties and supersedes Jusbakir Aldjufri Muzammil Shafi (2003-2008). Previously, Dade had been a Regent of Pasuruan in the period 1998-2003. Parliament consists of 49 people Pasuruan.

Transportation
Pasuruan coast path traversed by the Surabaya-Banyuwangi. The county is also traversed east across the railway line towards the island of Java and Malang, Blitar, Tulungagung, Kediri and Kertosono, there Bangil Station crossing routes. Greetings from the western region are the main route Surabaya-Malang and Surabaya toll road-Gempol which temporarily cut off by the Lapindo mudflow. Gempol is the largest city of Surabaya-Malang crossing point with the path to Mojokerto / Madiun.

Industry
This District has one of the main industrial area in East Java, Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang (PIER). The main industry in this district, among others, Sampoerna in Pandaan, Matsushita (Panasonic), Cheil Jedang Rejoso Indonesia and PT. Nestle Indonesia in Kejayan.

Tourism
The western part of this district (border with the territory of Mojokerto and Malang Regency) is a pretty cool highlands, and is one of the main tourist destination in East Java. Zone has a resort villas, and a number of elite housing. This mountainous region is also often used as a place to camp. Among the attractions is the mainstay of Pasuruan Indonesia Safari Park and Botanic Garden in Prigen Purwodadi. Pasuruan south lies Mount Bromo, one of the main tourist destination in East Java
